K-12 SWP

History

California’s K-12 Strong Workforce Program (K-12 SWP) started in 2018 to fund middle and high school Career Technical Education (CTE) needs.

Scope and Size

K-12 SWP awards can reach $2,000,000, projects can be as long as 30 months, and schools are not limited to a single project. This 30-month time frame is long enough to implement activities and generate results. New funding can overlap with older funding, allowing schools to expand services and impact.

EducateX Services

Local educational agencies (LEAs) must apply for CTE funds every year through a competitive grant process. After being awarded, LEAs must complete regular fiscal and program reporting. Coming from education, EducateX understands that school staffing is often stretched thin. We take on project deadlines and requirements, removing stress from the LEA to free up more of their time for students.
