Past Projects

EducateX applies project management tools and techniques to projects in education. Our projects are as varied as the needs of our schools. Some examples of past projects are provided below.

Community College

Apprenticeship
Planning and Implementation

EducateX managed four planning projects under the California Apprenticeship Initiative: New & Innovative Program (CAI N&I) resulting in registered apprenticeships for 6 different occupations. All are continuing to the implementation phase. These projects align with Governor Newsom’s goal of expanding apprenticeships to serve 500,000 individuals by 2029.

Regional Consortia

EducateX supported two regional consortia with planning and development. Services included crucial support during an institutional transition, managing onboarding, document updates, fiscal coordination, task facilitation, budget revisions, programmatic guidance, and operational efficiency and efficacy enhancement. Assisted with the consortia’s responses to the Request for Application for the Regional Collaboration and Coordination Grant (RC RFA). Organized a planning retreat, facilitated leadership convenings and planning sessions, and assisted with writing budget, data collection, and employer engagement plans. Outcomes included full funding under the RC RFA and approval of both Regional Consortia Management Plans.

Development of
Research-Based Approach

EducateX supported a large state agency in developing a research-informed and data-driven approach to their work. The result was the development of strategies to leverage data and demonstrate the quantitative impact of the agency’s work. The approach would help the agency to acquire new funding, act as a thought leader at the state and national levels, and increase internal and external awareness of their impact.

K-12 Schools

K-12 Strong Workforce Program

Dr. Audrey Childers and the EducateX staff have been active with K-12 SWP since Round 1 (2018-19). EducateX works with K-12 clients to write grant proposals, create and maintain meaningful partnership with community colleges, complete activities and NOVA reporting in a timely manner, and close K-12 SWP projects at the end of the grant term. EducateX offers extensive knowledge and experience in both program and fiscal aspects of K-12 SWP.
